Liming was white and those charged in his death are Black. The Liming case has not only devastated swaths of the Akron community who knew the teens and young men involved it’s made national news, both because it may involve the social media phenomenon called the Orbeez Challenge and because some have tried to cast it as a racial assault - even though both police and Liming’s family have repeatedly said race had nothing to do with what happened. The judge also ordered the men to have no contact with Liming’s family. “Donovon, call me when you get out,” his attorney, Eddie Sipplen, told him during a remote court hearing. Under the terms set by the judge, however, Jones would be liable for $5,000 if he doesn’t appear for future court appearances. The third defendant, Jones, needed no money to be released. He would need to pay 10% of that to be released before trial.ĭeshawn Stafford’s attorney, Jon Sinn, said he wasn’t sure Stafford’s family could come up with the $2,500 needed for his release.Įach of the Staffords would be required to wear ankle monitors if they post bond. Judge Tammy O’Brien Thursday cut Deshaun Stafford’s bond to $25,000. But Jones now only faces two misdemeanor charges. LoPrinzi did not elaborate on what Jones, who also has no criminal record and is a cousin of the Staffords, may have done that night. Stafford’s little brother, Tyler, 19, struck Liming “a couple of times,” LoPrinzi said. Stafford, who faces the most serious charges in the case, also had a juvenile record that included three charges, including assault and criminal trespass, he said. and Tyler Stafford - pleaded not guilty.ĭeshawn Stafford, 20, “struck the blow” that knocked out Liming and caused his death, LoPrinzi said. After a great first impression (first case "angel of death" worked fine, was fun) this kinda killed (murdered?!) the game for me, since a whole playthrough without any solution feels somewhat pointless. On Thursday, Assistant Summit County Prosecutor Brian LoPrinzi revealed a couple of new details during online court hearings in which all three men - Donovon, Deshawn Stafford Jr. The Devs might want to take a look at this. I could speculate, that the game had a little hickup while "chosing" the murder (therefore also generating conflicting hints) or did not give the right choice of suspects (one gets removed during the first days, although that one didn't seem to fit the clues either). This was a really disappointing experience.

If this had been my first run (as "the judge" is supposed to be, I guess) I probably would have refunded the game right then & there. All the combining of clues, all the speculation was pointless in the end. This really undermines the whole "murder-mystery"-thing. ALL available suspects are the wrong choice and get the "bad" ending. Since I now _really_ wanted to know, who actually did it, I repeated this for every available suspect: So I really misinterpreted some clues and it was that other guy? I played through the whole case, was quite sure I got my suspects, pointed him out at the end to Busset and.

(In this case clues about height might not be the most helpful.) Therefore I didn't spend too much time on it - later on it appeared somewhat relevant though.

It should not matter too much: The killer should be < 1,80m, since ALL available suspects are. Same source: Both are from "cops", both are confirmed by different sources. I thought maybe one of the clues is just (supposed to be) unreliable and I checked, where I got those from.

While I really enjoyed the game so far, I just encountered something strange: In my second case (the "Judge", randomized) it started to get a little bit weird: First I got conflicting hints about the murderer:Īccording to my clues, the murderer is definitely taller than 1,80m and - at the same time - also smaller than 1,80m.
